Doreen’s Cup of Joe (AKA Doreen’s) is open daily for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike so guests may expect to wait for a table to free up during the peak tourism season. Reservations are only accepted for parties of at least eight people. One of the newest restaurants on the island, Doreen’s has a fresh, coastal decor.
The menu is consistent with a classic American diner with breakfast options including pancakes, corned beef hash, and biscuits with gravy. The restaurant also offers several more upscale items, like a plate of breakfast nachos. Healthier alternatives on the menu include multiple yogurt options and fruit.
Lunch options also include classic American diner items, including cheeseburgers and grilled chicken BLT sandwiches. Guests who woke up late or prefer breakfast will be happy to know breakfast is served all day.
Doreen’s uses ingredients that are sourced within Florida, including sausage patties from Tallahassee and coffee from a local roaster in Miami.
The restaurant was voted as one of the top 10 most “amazing breakfast restaurants in Florida that will make your morning epic.” Review website TripAdvisor ranks Doreen’s as a top-five restaurant in all of Marco Island.
The restaurant offers catering options and can host private parties.
Doreen’s is located at 267 N Collier Blvd on Marco Island. This puts it in very close proximity to beach condos like
South Seas Club. Of course, Marco Island isn’t very big, so Doreen’s is convenient to any vacation rental on the island.
The breakfast at Doreen’s always satisfies the Sun King. The king has had Doreen’s eggs, English Muffins, and oatmeal – all delicious. Not a coffee drinker, one thing that the Sun King really appreciates anywhere he goes is fresh iced tea. Doreen comes through with flying colors. The Sun Queen always chooses an omelette with cheese and spinach and has been known to say, “it was awesome.”
