You can escape the busy tourist areas of Marco by selecting a waterfront rental in particular neighborhoods. For example, you can find some incredible house rentals in the Tigertail Beach neighborhood– a quieter area perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The traffic is minimal in Tigertail, yet it has access to one of the best beaches on the island.
Even if you opt for a place to stay off the beaten path, you’ll hardly miss out on the fun. The island is small and every property is close to the beaches, shopping, and restaurants. There really isn’t a vacation home on the island from which you can’t easily reach the beach by bike.
